University of Manchester spin‑out PhovIR is developing portable near‑infrared sensors and closed a ~£4 M seed round led by Northern Gritstone and SCVC. Funding supports team growth and product launch
Hospitality CRM/loyalty platform Embargo (split between London and Poland) closed a $3.5 M round from Paul Statham, Christo Georgiev, Hampton Finance, Stephen Zinser & others. Founders Frederick Szydlowski & Tsewang Wangkang will add AI features and scale sales.
AI‑native insurance broker Meshed raised £950 K pre‑seed led by Haatch with Aviva’s Founders Factory and angels. Co‑founders Mark Costello, Vincent Liu & Jake Wells will use funds for predictive analytics and risk assessment.
Innerworks, a cybersecurity firm tackling synthetic fraud, raised €3.7 M seed led by AlbionVC, joined by Digital Currency Group, Firestreak Ventures & Founders Capital. Founders Oliver Quie, Oscar Hayek & Tom Ryan aim to expand AI platform.
AI startup ChatBlu raised $500 K pre‑seed from Matador Venture Capital and angels. Founders Kristian Lukauskis & Alexander Dillon build AI agents to automate e‑commerce inventory management and plan to go to market.
Newcastle-based Immersive‑tech studio Aircards received £3 M growth investment from Foresight Group. Funds accelerate fabrication, interactive display line (LUX‑75) and spatial analytics platform Metalitix for global clients.
Neurovalens, a health‑tech firm developing non‑invasive neurostimulation devices, raised £6 M debt round led by Investment Fund for Northern Ireland with Whiterock, IQ Capital & others. CEO Dr Jason McKeown will expand sales and product range.
Geospatial intelligence startup, EvaluateLocate, secured £300 K seed from angels via SEIS. Founder Adam Kirby aims to grow the platform, which uses >100 metrics to score locations for home buyers and businesses.
Ag‑tech company, SugaROx, is raising biostimulants to boost crop yields and closed £1 M seed extension. Investors The Mosaic Company, UK Innovation & Science Seed Fund and Regenerate Ventures will help CEO Mark Robbins scale operations.
Fintech startup Rule is building a “save‑to‑win” app to fight financial anxiety - they raised £800 K pre‑seed led by London Venture Partners and Bethnal Green Ventures. Funds support public launch and team growth.

London’s specialist climate‑tech VC, Clean Growth Fund II, held a £49 M first close of its £150 M second fund. Pension investors from Strathclyde, Islington and East Riding backed the vehicle, which writes £0.5‑5 M cheques into UK decarbonisation startups.
